Some patients describe it as hot lava erupting inside a joint.  Gout FlareOthers say it’s like a piece of glass jabbing into the joint.  Whatever it feels like to you, most patients agree that a Gout Flare is among the worst pain they’ve experienced.

While there are gout treatments available, you may be like many gout patients who struggle with flares.  If so, you may be interested in participating in a research study.

Local doctors are currently conducting a medical research study of an investigational medication for gout flares.  They want to evaluate the safety and effectiveness of the investigational medication in people who have been diagnosed with gout.
